	The mission of Applied HealthWorks (AHW) is to apply advanced health informatics methods in the pursuit of solutions to the health issues affecting the lives of millions of people. Health Informatics can be defined as:
		“The scientific field that deals with the storage, retrieval, sharing and optimal use of biomedical information, data, and knowledge for problem solving and decision making.”
	The primary product objective of AHW will be to design, develop and distribute products  to the health and fitness consumer market.  Initial products will be in the area of body image management, focusing on body measurement and visualization tools. The brand name for products in this space will be MyBodyTools. AHW will also house the health informatics consulting services of Jerry Lutgen, President of AHW.
